Water Rate Chart

Domestic Water

The monthly domestic water bill is comprised of a service charge, consumption charges, and if applicable, taxes, backflow, and/or penalties. The service charge is a monthly charge based on the meter size. Most households use a standard 5/8 inch meter typically capable of delivering 20 gallons per minute. The monthly cost for the 5/8 inch meter is $15 per month, the other meter charges can be seen below in Table 1. These meters calculate water usage in cubic feet and the usage is billed in 100 cubic feet increments which are referred to as 1 unit (or 748 gallons).

The current rate structure has been approved by the Board of Directors for a gradual change ending in 2017. The rates can be viewed in Table 2. Once the consumption is calculated it is then multiplied by the consumption rates in Table 2.

The monthly statement will list the monthly service charge, the charge for consumption, any payments received since the last statement, and any miscellaneous charges. If you have questions regarding your statement you may call (530) 533-4578 and our associates would be happy to explain the charges.
