Electrical Machinist – Journey Level
SFWPA is a public agency headquartered in Oroville that supplies water for domestic and agricultural uses, generates electricity, and provides recreational facilities for the public. Oroville is located in the southeastern portion of Butte County along the eastern edge of the Sacramento Valley. It is the gateway to the Feather River Canyon and the Lake Oroville State Recreation Area. Lake Oroville offers fishing, house boating, swimming, picnicking, water skiing and jet skiing. The area also provides excellent hunting and golf, mountain biking, equestrian trails, and day hiking. It is definitely a place you can live, work and play all in the same day.
SFWPA’s wage rates and benefits are very competitive, and include CalPERS retirement.
Under the direction of the Hydro Maintenance Foreman:
- as a journeyman, repairs, installs and maintains all types of mechanical and electrical equipment in
hydroelectric plants and related facilities, and other Agency electrical facilities; - performs a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled manual and automated tasks, including operating
machining tools, welding, and rigging.
