Little Grass

Little Grass Valley Reservoir is a beautiful 1,616 surface-acre lake, sitting at the 5,040-foot elevation. At Little Grass Valley Reservoir, the developed recreationfacilities include: Black Rock, Horse Camp, Little Beaver, Peninsula Tent, Red Feather, Running Deer, Tooms RV, and Wyandotte campgrounds; Blue Water Beach and Pancake Beach day-use areas; Maidu, Tooms, and Black Rock boat ramps; and Little Grass Valley Accessible Fishing and Lakeshore trails. The USFS Feather River Ranger District manages the campgrounds around Little Grass Valley Reservoir, totaling over 300 camping units. Campsites in Red Feather, Running Deer, Little Beaver parts of Loop A & B and the southern half of Wyandotte, and Horse Camp may be reserved, while all other camp spots are available on a first-come, first served basis. SFWPA General Policy #111. The public has access to the Agency’s reservoirs/lakes and may use facilities on each as follows:

Little Grass Valley - (no restrictions) Public trail around lake; three boat ramps; two beaches for swimming; five developed campgrounds.
