Little Grass Valley - Increase releases
Beginning on September 18, Little Grass Valley Reservoir (LGVR) releases were increased to 425 cfs over a two-day period. The LGVR release will remain at 425 cfs until Monday, October 7 when the Agency will decrease flows to minimum in stream requirements over 2 days. This release will draw down the reservoir’s capacity by approximately 15,000 AF and decrease the elevation by approximately 12 feet. This release will create space in LGVR for absorbing this coming winter’s precipitation and snow melt, raise Sly Creek reservoir’s elevation for continued power generation, and allow for white water kayaking recreational opportunities in the South Fork Feather River between LGVR and South Fork Diversion.
